Amanda served a 4 year apprenticeship in stained glass before studying hot glass and photography at Edinburgh College of Art.

From her workshop in the Scottish Borders she produces windows and large leaded panels to commission and creates smaller autonomous pieces to sell through galleries.

Glass itself is an inspirational material. Colours ranging from blues, greys and greens to juicy oranges and reds. Textures both reamy and seedy. Patterns, streaky and wispy.
Iridescent and opalescent surfaces. The possibilities are endless.
