Borders creatives attend Cross Party Group on Culture

A strong showing of creatives from the Borders attended a recent Cross-Party Group on Culture at the Scottish Parliament on 14th March 2017. The question being posed was: Regeneration – can artists and planners work together?

Speakers included Kevin Stewart, Minister for Local Government and Housing, Matt Baker, Orchestrator of the Stove Network, Petra Biberbach, Chief Executive of Planning Aid for Scotland, Peter McCaughey, Director of WAVEparticle and Kate Wimpress, Director of North Edinburgh Arts. There followed a really rich discussion, and conversations have continued between those attending from the Borders, including a short presentation by Inge Panneels at the recent April Gathering of the Scottish Borders Cultural Forum in Hawick.

For those unable to attend the meeting the videos have now been uploaded to the CPG website.
