MacArts, Bridge St, Galashiels TD1 1SP
Every year at MANIFEST we have some short guest performances and this year we have some music, and we have some drama!
We’re delighted to announce that due to popular demand, Millie will perform at this year’s MANIFEST.
Millie is a 18-year-old singer-songwriter from the Borders, now based in Edinburgh who has supported well-known artists including Dougie MacLean, Be Charlotte and Karine Polwart. She has performed at festivals like Kendal Calling as well as smaller, local events including Stowed Out Fest and her song ‘I’ve Waited Too Long’ was featured on popular fashion blog Disneyrollergirl. Live – she creates a multilayered ‘one woman band’ with the help of her loop station.
Over the last 6 months, Playwrights’ Studio Scotland has delivered a development programme for Borders based playwrights led by Hawick-born playwright Jules Horne. 10 Borders playwrights have been developing new work through the programme and some of the group will treat us to some ‘scratch performances’ of work in progress.
