Neville Rae – a Thank You

Neville Rae has stepped down as CABN’s Advocate for Public Art & Community Engagement, and we want to say a massive thank you to Neville, who has been a CABN Advocate since 2011. Neville has had to prioritise his commitments with his company Old School Fabrications, so felt it was time to step back and enable someone new to take over the role.

Old School Fabrications are a team of design and build specialists, making objects, interiors and structures for creative and commercial clients, and their busy client list includes the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, National Museum of Scotland, Tramway and National Libraries of Scotland.

Neville’s input into CABN has been invaluable, bringing his knowledge, contacts and insight into supporting artists through 1:1 advice sessions and delivering key events including:

The Bothy, The Hut and the Wild, Wild Mind

DIY – Artists Take the Lead

and Re-imagining Place, which he co-curated with Claire Pencak, CABN’s Advocate for Place Making and Collaborations.   As one of the original team of Advocates, Neville has also fed into the design and delivery and evaluation of the CABN project.

Wishing him all the best,

The CABN Team
