The November Gathering of the Scottish Borders Cultural Forum will link with the Mapping the Borders exhibition which is part of a series of events taking place in the Scottish Borders as part of the Being Human Festival 2017, a celebration of humanities. Each art work will be matched with a corresponding map from the map archive from the National Library of Scotland. The Scottish Borders Cultural Forum has evolved out of a series of discussions and workshops attended by a broad range of individuals and organisations from the local cultural sector and is open to anyone interested in the aims and values of the Forum. It supports the work of the local cultural sector by creating a space for networking, sharing concerns, ideas and resources and finding solutions to common problems. The Forum comes together informally on a monthly bases in different locations and provides a social get together, a discussion and a lively cultural experience. It is a champion not just for the cultural sector but also for culture’s role in the economy, environment, education, health and the quality of life that is so important to the Scottish Borders. You can find out more about the Scottish Borders Cultural Forum on CABN website and the Forum Facebook page.
Refreshments of soup and sandwiches will be provided. Please advise when booking if you have any special dietary requirements.

Attendees at previous gatherings have found the delegate list useful in terms of following up on conversations with specific people or organisations enabling the exchange of information and contacts.
We will be putting together a delegate list (which will include your email address) for this Gathering so please let us know if you DO NOT wish to be included. It would be useful when booking if you could indicate which job title and business/organisation name you would like us to include.
Remember you can engage with the Scottish Borders Cultural Forum via their Facebook page.
