PechaKucha Nights are back!
Our highly popular series of PechaKucha Nights are back with the next event taking place at MacArts on Saturday 18 November.
The event is a partnership between CABN and the Being Human Festival, a national festival which highlights the ways in which the humanitites can inspire and enrich our everyday lives, help us to understand ourselves, our relationships with others, and the challenges we face in a changing world. A local programme of events in the Borders – under the banner of ‘Mapping the Borders’ has been curated by local artist and academic Inge Panneels – and the PechaKucha event will take this theme to highlight and showcase the work of artists and academics around mapping.
For full details of speakers please visit the official PechaKucha Galashiels page here. We will shortly be adding more information about the individual presenters so do check back!
To book your place at this free event please visit the Being Human Festival website.
The programme of PechaKucha Nights will continue through 2018 and will include, for the first time, themed nights such as a celebration of Scotland’s Year of Young People.

*We realise that this isn’t technically a PechaKucha ‘Night’ as it’s in the afternoon but the timing of this partnership event has been driven by the Being Human programme. Future PechaKucha Nights Galashiels will revert to the usual evening slot!
